SC Bar Middle School Mock Trial Judge

Today I have the pleasure of volunteering with the South Carolina Bar's Middle School Mock Trial Competition. Students will try a fake case over whether a fictitious high school track coach is to blame for the death of one of his students. I'm glad there are middle school students who are already so interested in the law and looking forward to seeing what they can do with the case they've been given.

Many thanks to Cynthia Cothran of the SC Bar for coordinating the volunteers, and to Kelly Samsone-Galley of Rivertown Law Group for suggesting I participate.

SC SkillsUSA Fall Conference Speaker

Today, I'll be speaking at the SC Skills Fall Conference.  SkillsUSA is a non-profit organization for high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations.

I have the pleasure of speaking to these students about ethics in the workplace.

Many thanks to Jackie Clarkson for inviting me to speak to this group of students.
